What Teachers Should Know About TSC New Payroll System
A single payroll number has been introduced by the Teacher Service Commission (TSC) for all of its workers, including teachers. On April 4, 2023, Dr. Nancy Macharia delivered a ground-breaking circular on behalf of TSC Dare.
The action was taken in response to the National Government’s decision to deploy the Unified Human Resource System, or UHRS, an integrated human resource management system.
This decision was recently communicated to all Public Service organizations by the Head of the Public Service, ushering in a new age of streamlined and integrated HR procedures. The UHR will go into full force on August 4, 2022, bringing with it a number of advantages for both employees and companies.
This ground-breaking technology will serve as a central repository for all public sector human resources data, including vital details like payroll information.
An integrated data platform is now being implemented to boost efficiency and streamline processes.
The CARPS Report (2015) made several recommendations, one of which was to create a “Unified Human Resource and Payroll Number generating system (UHR and IJPN) for the Public Service.” This program was in response to those recommendations.
Each public employee must receive a unique and permanent identity number, according to the Allocation System for Unified Payroll Numbers (UPN).
TSC has made the decision to assign a distinct UPN number to each of its payroll employees, including the acclaimed teachers, as of March 2023.
The TSC/Employment number and the UPN, commonly known as the payroll number, are two distinct identities that are shown on the Employee’s Pay Slip or Teacher’s Payroll in the T-Pay System.
TSC created the online T-Pay application platform early last month so that employees and third-party businesses may conduct check-off deductions. The management of third-party inspections of the plant is now more effective thanks to the application.
Teachers enrolled with the commission can view their online payslips through the TSC program T-Pay.
You only need your Teachers Service Commission number and password to access the portal’s services. These are the same credentials you use to log in. Also, keep in mind that the service is provided without charge.
You must finish the registration process in order to receive the TSC number, which you will need to access your online payslip. The procedure was initially carried out online. Teachers must, however, go to the nearby TSC county office and provide their national IDs and other necessary documentation.
