TSC Registered Teachers Avoid These Mistakes
There are a number of unfavorable working circumstances for teachers in Kenya.
The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) will impose harsh sanctions (TSC) on teachers who transgress the Code of Conduct.
The Commission demonstrates how complicated the procedure is for detaining and dismissing a teacher.
The following is a list of errors that TSC-registered teachers must omit:
1. Do not expel a student from the classroom in the middle of a lesson or other learning period due to poor behavior.
Because you cannot monitor the student’s behavior outside, which could be harmful in the event of an accident, this is the case.
2. It’s unacceptable to touch students in an inappropriate way.
This is a result of the learner’s potential for being accused of sexual or physical abuse. You might not be able to challenge it.
Shocking allegations of sexual harassment at schools have been made, with male teachers being accused of preying on students.
The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has sacked and degazetted around 282 instructors over the last three years for having sex with their students.
Finally, many interviews with school officials, teachers, and former students have exposed the serious moral deterioration in the schools.
3. Don’t assign tasks that you won’t have time to review.
Ungraded homework and tasks reveal incompetence or a lack of professionalism.
4. Emotional punishment should not be administered to students.
It lessens their chances of improving as students.
5. Stop teaching within the time allotted, especially if you are preparing students for external exams.
Increase the amount of time you spend with your students.
6. Do not stick with a lone student while they are in the lab, office, classroom, etc.
It is not allowed under the child protection policy. Do not present a single viewpoint in your lessons.
Bad behavior can flourish when children are dispersed and difficult to locate because they are engaged in play or other activities.
Some claim that teachers entice their students to departmental offices where they engage in bad behavior.
According to the TSC, the majority of teachers in the counties of Siaya and Murang’a have been charged with defiling in the last three years.
7. Stop making kids kneel for protracted periods of time.
He or she might be dealing with a health issue that you are unaware of.
8. Refrain from working with the department head, academic dean, etc. to get your school’s principal fired.
Circularity permeates the cosmos.
9. Refrain from becoming a demanding teacher and make sure no students perceive your behavior as hostile.
Despite your individual difficulties, keep a positive attitude.
