TSC Discontinues These Subject Combinations From Recruitment
The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) states that graduates of different teaching degree programmes are not allowed to be hired.
The grads had enrolled in the courses with the expectation that TSC would hire them, but those expectations have already been dashed. However, it has been suggested to the graduates to explore elsewhere for jobs.
Affected graduates include individuals who chose to major in subjects that are no longer taught in schools. Regardless of whether they have earned a Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) and/or Enhancement, graduates whose subject matter expertise lies in areas that are currently NOT covered by the curriculum are not qualified to submit an application for registration.

This is stated in the Commission’s most recent registration guidelines for brand-new teachers.
The majority of these graduates obtained postgraduate degrees in education in order to be qualified for employment with TSC. TSC has nonetheless tightened the nut in an effort to streamline the teaching industry. There are now guidelines for anyone desiring to work in the field, and teaching has been defined as a noble profession.
The Teachers Service Commission has finally provided an explanation for these graduates’ non-registration. Even people who have taken these courses with a postgraduate degree in education have been rejected.
According to the commission, not all of the relevant material is covered in these courses. Because of this, neither of the two learning areas possesses adequate subject knowledge.
The TSC will register bachelor’s degree programmes in the arts or sciences with PGDEs in two teaching specialisations. For many graduates of these programmes who had hoped to be registered and hired by the Teachers Service Commission, receiving this letter has been a pain in the neck.
All graduates have pursued the following learning objectives, and they are no longer qualified to work with TSC.
