TSC Advertises 328 Jobs In Junior Secondary, Internship
The Teachers Service Commission is seeking suitable applicants to fill (328) internship positions in Junior Secondary schools. Interested and qualified applicants should apply online through the Commission’s website, www.tsc.go.ke under “Careers” or teachersonline.tsc.go.ke by June 2, 2023.
ELIGIBILITY
A candidate must meet the following minimal standards to be considered for recruitment:
i) Be a Kenyan citizen;
ii) Have a diploma in education with a minimum mean grade of C+ (plus) and C+ (plus) in two teaching subjects in KCSE or its equivalent; and
iii) Be a registered teacher with the Teachers Service Commission.
General Information
i) No manual applications will be accepted.
ii) The Commission’s Recruitment Guidelines for Teacher Interns for the Fiscal Year 2022/2023 (Post Primary Institutions) will apply.
Shortlisted candidates must produce genuine academic and professional certifications.
iv) Candidates shall be chosen solely on the basis of merit and the number of openings available in each county.
v) Applicants who have previously worked for the Teachers Service Commission on a permanent and pensionable basis, as well as those who have participated in the TSC internship program, are ineligible.
vi) An applicant may apply to two schools where appropriate vacancies have been announced.
vii) Successful candidates may not accept more than one Internship Engagement Offer. Accepting two or more internship offers will result in disqualification.
viii) Selected applicants must hold Personal Accident Insurance to cover personal risks throughout the internship duration.
NOTE
a) The Teacher Internship Program is a one (1) year program designed to prepare and sustain the competences of new teachers. The initiative seeks to place jobless registered instructors in learning institutions where their teaching expertise will be increased through mentorship, coaching, and hands-on experience.
b) During verification/interviews, applicants must provide the following: – i) A copy of the Teacher Registration Certificate/a print-out from the TSC online portal as proof of teacher registration;
ii) A copy of the National Council for Persons with Disabilities (NCPWD) identification card (if appropriate);
iii) A photocopy of your National Identity Card (ID) or Passport;
iv) Two (2) passport-sized color pictures;
v) A duplicate of the National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF) card
vi) A duplicate of your Kenya Revenue Authority Personal Identification Number (KRA PIN).
THE DURATION OF THE INTERNSHIP
The internship will last twelve (12) months.
TEACHER INTERNS MONTHLY SPENDING
This is not a paid opportunity. Teacher interns affiliated to secondary schools, on the other hand, will be eligible for a monthly salary of Kshs. 20,000/-. The stipend will be provided after any required statutory deductions.
CERTIFICATE OF INTERNSHIP
Teacher interns will receive a certificate upon completion of the Internship Programme.
