The Ministry of Education sends a stun warning to school heads
School administrators received a stern communication from the ministry of education that made their stomachs turn. The Ministry of Education is in charge of advancing educational standards throughout the nation and creating a supportive environment for teachers to work in.
The County Directors of Education have been instructed by the Ministry of Education to make sure that schools have paid their debts to the Postal Corporation.
According to a letter dated July 4 that was sent by the State Department for Basic Education and signed by Paul Kibet for PS Kipsang Belio, the corporation owes money to schools for post office boxes. The Star read the correspondence.
The PS countered that this amounted to financial irresponsibility on the part of the schools and that this conduct could not be excused.

He asserted that the Corporation had alerted the Ministry about the entire situation after learning that certain schools had been sharing the boxes, a practise he regarded unpleasant.
He asserted that this practise should end immediately because each institution has a different set of resources.
People who shared boxes were instructed by the PS to apply for extra boxes within a month.
He gave the directive that the Principal Secretary should receive a report on compliance as soon as feasible.
All of the instructors and ministry of education stakeholders received a copy of the letter.
