MMUST Announces Massive Job Vacancies; How To Apply
On Tuesday, July 18, 2023, Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) published 34 job openings in various disciplines.
The government-owned institution said in a statement that it was looking to hire new employees on conditions that included both permanent and pensionable periods and five-year contracts.
18 lecturers, 7 senior professors, 3 university registrars, 2 clinical instructors, 1 assistant lecturer, 1 chief auditor, 1 legal officer, and 1 medical officer are among the positions the institution is looking to fill.
The terms of the appointments for the Chief Internal Auditor, Registrar of Academic Affairs, Registrar of Administration, and Registrar of Planning, Research, and Innovation shall be five (5) years on contract. reads a portion of the sentence
“The position of Senior Lecturer, Lecturer Medical Officer and Legal Officer and Clinical Instructor shall be on Permanent& Pensionable upon satisfactory completion of six (6) months of probation period and subject to satisfactory performance.”
The following documents must be submitted with an application by the applicant: a thorough curriculum vitae (CV), certified copies of any applicable academic and professional certificates, a national identity card or passport, testimonials, email and phone contact information, and any additional supporting documentation considered necessary.
A valid clearance from the Kenya Revenue Authority, Higher Education Loans Board, Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission, Directorate of Criminal Investigation (Certificate of Good Conduct), and Registered Credit Reference Bureau must be shown by successful candidates after selection.

Along with their applications, referees must include three (3) contact details: names, phone numbers, and addresses. Referees are asked to send their private reports to the signatories, which must be received by August 7th, 2023.
Ten (10) hard copies of the application must be submitted by registered mail or courier, with the reference number clearly written on the envelope. Additional submissions should be made to recruitmentjuly2023@mmust.ac.ke in running PDF format.
Candidates who have degrees from overseas universities should have the Commission for University Education (CUE) certify their diplomas.
All applications must be sent to the undersigned by August 7, 2023, at 5:00 p.m.
