Litein Boys Closed Down Indefinitely after Demos
Following Sunday night’s protests, Litein Boys High School in Bureti, Kericho County, has been shut down indefinitely.
An anonymous school employee claimed that the teenagers’ rampage was the result of unexplained circumstances.
The school’s vehicles, biometric systems, and window glass were among the many items the students damaged.
To put an end to the rioting, police officers from Litein police station were called.
The boys attempted to engage the officers, but the officers fired in the air to scare them away.
The Board of Management and school administration are currently having a crisis meeting, and no comment has been made as of yet.
