Students have until Wednesday of the following week to apply for placements or change their university and college choices through the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS).
The gateway that opened on May 17 will be closed on Wednesday so that the office can practise.
Students will be put into programmes based on how well they do in school and how many tools the college or university has.
For the second change, the site will be open again from June 19 to June 30. Students who didn’t get into their top-choice programmes or schools will have another chance to apply.
After another week of training, the portal will be open for the third and final revision from July 10 to 14.
On August 9, students will find out where they are going after the last exercise. Dr. Agnes Mercy Wahome, who is in charge of KUCCPS, says that 90% of students who are qualified to go to college apply for placement.

The organisation thinks that 155,000 of the 173,127 students who got a C+ or better on the KCSE in 2022 will apply and accept their spots.
Because of the new way of getting money, the application process has changed a lot this year.
In the new system, the government has gotten rid of the differentiated unit cost paradigm in favour of giving scholarships, loans, and bursaries directly to students instead of making capitation payments to colleges.
So that students can figure out how much it will cost their families, all of the universities that are part of the centralised placement have put the prices of all of their programmes on the KUCCPS site.
“Universities need to get people to come to them. The classes must also have something to do with the job market.Dr. Wahome said, “Our ultimate goal is to have college paid for by 80% loans and 20% scholarships.” “We want to lend out more money.
Under the new plan, students from homes with less financial need would have to pay more for college because those with the most need will get full government loans, grants, and bursaries.
The plan aims to make a big change in how the government pays for higher education by replacing automatic handouts with student loans backed by a revolving fund and scholarships.
The plan will be carried out by three groups in the higher education field working together. These are the Higher Education Loans Board, the Universities Fund, and the KUCCPS.
