KNEC announces Jobs for teachers to assess KCSE oral, practical papers
To evaluate KCSE oral and practical papers, the Kenya National Examinations Council is hiring secondary school teachers and college tutors.
Between June 6 and July 28, the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education will be evaluated.
The commission stated in an advertisement that “the chosen professionals will be trained on the job during the assessment of the KCSE papers in 2023.”

“Teachers and tutors who are already listed in the KNEC database of assessors need not apply.”
Professional KCSE examiners who have been hired will grade papers on power mechanics, electricity, aviation technology, French, German, Arabic, music, and Kenyan sign language.
Teachers who are qualified and interested must be under 50 years old and have a minimum of three years of experience.

They must be educated in the pertinent fields and registered with or hired by the Teachers Service Commission or another reputable professional organization.
They should also possess a diploma or higher in education or the pertinent field of expertise.
The candidate for aviation technology must hold a diploma in aeronautical engineering.

According to the advertisement, “The slots are limited and only qualified applicants who have presented all required documents will be shortlisted for the exercise.”
