KMTC New Entry Requirements Out
According to the most recent criteria, in order to enroll in KMTC to pursue a certificate program (KCSE), a student must have at least a C- on their Kenya Certificate of Secondary Examinations in cluster courses.
Additionally, in order to participate in diploma programs, all willing applicants must have earned a minimum grade of C in cluster topics.
Note that upgrading KMTC courses is thought to require a qualification in the relevant field.
One must have successfully completed a Diploma course in accordance with the standards listed below in order to be eligible for Higher Diploma programs.
1. KMTC higher diploma course duration and prerequisites
A person with at least two years of professional experience and a basic diploma in the pertinent areas.
The duration of this training program is one year.

In addition to a mean KCSE grade of C (or equivalent), applicants must also have completed an acceptable combination of other subjects, including English, Kiswahili, biology, and other biological sciences, as well as mathematics, chemistry, physics, and other physical sciences.
This curriculum only needs three years of training, as opposed to the three and a half years required for community health nursing.
3.KMTC indicated the prerequisites and the amount of time needed to complete the upgrade.
A person needs to have a degree in the necessary fields and at least two years of work experience.
This takes two years to complete, as opposed to the 18 months of training needed for community health nursing.
A cumulative grade of C-minus or higher is required, along with the right combination of other subjects.
Although the required amount of time for completion is two years, it actually takes two and a half years.
