KEFRI Announces Massive Job Vacancies; How To Apply

The Kenya Forestry Research Institute (KEFRI) has posted 47 job openings that are open to qualified but unemployed Kenyans.

The institute sought to hire active, goal-oriented, and self-driven individuals to fill the open posts on a three-year contract basis in a notice published on Tuesday, July 11, 2023.

Research assistant (Seed Science) 13 Posts, Assistant Forester 9 Posts, Assistant Laboratory Technologist (Seed) 15 Posts, and Assistant Laboratory Technologist (Horticulture) 10 Posts are among the vacancies that are being offered.

Minimum Qualifications

i) a diploma in applied biology or its equivalent from a recognised institution; ii) working experience in the same field is an added advantage; and

iii) a certificate in computer applications from a recognised institution;

iv) a minimum grade of “C-” (C Minus) on the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) or its equivalent qualification from a recognised institution.

Candidates who are interested and qualified may visit KEFRI to view complete job descriptions and the application process.

Candidates should submit their hard copy applications along with copies of their national identification card, curriculum vitae, and any pertinent academic or professional credentials. To reach the Director KEFRI before Monday, July 31, 2023, they should also include their day and evening telephone numbers, email address, and the names and addresses of three referrals.

The position applied for should be clearly noted on the envelopes containing the paperwork, along with the recipient’s name.
