International private schools invited to enter Tes Awards by November 3
International schools worldwide are encouraged to submit their entries for the inaugural ‘Tes Awards for International Schools’ before the November 3rd deadline. These awards, organized by Tes, a global leader in education solutions, provide a platform for schools and educators to celebrate their exceptional achievements during the 2022/23 academic year.
Modeled after the renowned UK Tes Awards, often referred to as ‘the Oscars of education,’ these international awards aim to acknowledge the remarkable contributions of international schools and their dedicated staff members.
Tes International Editor Dan Worth highlighted that these awards allow the international schools sector to showcase innovative teaching practices and celebrate their successes, underscoring the significant impact they have on students worldwide. Entries are open and free to all international schools outside the UK following the British Curriculum or International Baccalaureate (IB) programs.
With 5,700 schools delivering International Baccalaureate programs in 159 countries, these awards have a wide-reaching international presence and enjoy support from prominent international school associations, including BSME, COBIS, ECIS, FOBISIA, and the IB.
The shortlisting process for the awards is scheduled to begin in February 2024, with the overall winners announced in April 2024. Last year, Tes collaborated with global educational communities to offer IPGCE, benefiting many teachers worldwide.
ECIS Executive Director Kam Chohan emphasized that these awards aim to recognize the remarkable work of teachers worldwide and the positive changes they bring to classrooms. John Gwyn Jones MBE, CEO for FOBISIA, and Olli-Pekka Heinonen, Director General of International Baccalaureate, also expressed their enthusiasm for supporting the awards, which offer an opportunity to share best practices and collectively advance the cause of education worldwide.
