HELB Send This Message to All Continuing University Students
HELB (Higher Education Loans Board) has recently made a noteworthy announcement concerning the disbursement of educational loans to Kenyan students pursuing higher learning. In a press release shared earlier this evening, HELB has taken the proactive step of initiating the distribution of funds to both continuing students and higher learning institutions.
This latest report divulges that HELB has already commenced the process of disbursing loans to Kenyan students, a move that will greatly benefit more than 175,000 undergraduates and approximately 70,000 TVET students, all operating under the old higher education funding model.
Notably, the funds are being channeled to students through a variety of options, including banks and the convenient HELB mobile wallet.
Furthermore, the announcement underscores the importance of prompt action from all higher learning institutions. They are strongly encouraged to advise their students to complete the registration process for tuition fees, as the funds have already been released.
The deadline for this registration is set for October 5, 2023. For first-year students, it’s crucial to take note that the deadline for scholarship and loan applications is scheduled for October 7, 2023.
