Headteacher in Trouble for Harassing Newly Recruited Teacher
A head teacher, who has been accused of subjecting a newly recruited teacher to alleged harassment, is now facing potential consequences as concerned locals consider taking the matter further.
The incident, as reported in EMC Daily, revolves around a male headteacher who is alleged to have harassed the recently appointed teacher from the moment she joined the school. This new teacher specializes in early childhood education (ECDE) and was assigned to teach in Chepkerio ward, Keiyo South.
Regrettably, since her arrival, the new teacher has reportedly experienced ongoing harassment. The most recent incident has had detrimental effects on both the teacher and the students.
According to an account from a whistleblower regarding the latest act of harassment, it is claimed that the headteacher changed the padlocks on the teacher’s classroom. Consequently, the new teacher and her young learners were compelled to conduct their study sessions outside the classroom.
The actions of the headteacher, particularly the incident with the padlocks, have incited anger among the community. One individual, who identified themselves as working at a local vernacular radio station, expressed their intent to shed light on the issue.
They vowed to bring the matter to public attention, potentially exposing the headteacher’s alleged misconduct. This user went as far as to inquire about which primary school the incident pertained to, stating their intention to share the information on Kerio Radio, with the governor also being made aware of the situation.
